Double Leg Stretch
Arms and legs stretch out then come back in, with the lower back never leaving the floor.
The movement
Loading the coach
How to do it
- On your back, knees to your chest, hands on your shins, head and shoulders off the floor.
- Stretch arms and legs out in opposite directions.
- Bring everything back in, circling the arms.
The two mistakes that cost you reps
- Lower back arching as the legs extend, which is the signal to lower them less far.
- Letting the head drop back down between reps.
How Orusta counts it
A rep counts on the full extension followed by the return to the tucked position.
Easier, harder
Easier
Legs higher, closer to vertical: the lower the legs, the harder it is.
Harder
Legs closer to the floor, and a pause at full extension.
What a good set looks like
10 to 15 reps with the back flat. The back is the limit, not the count.
